Hey,
I play a home game every week and the number of people is getting up there. Thinking about doing a tournament but I have no idea how. So how do I do it?

Our college house holds a tournament on the second saturday of every month. There is enough room for 50 players so we have a sign up sheet, it fills almost every time. Everyone throws in $20 and the top 6 get paid.
Make sure you:
1. Put the rules on paper.
2. Make sure everyone who plays pays before the tourney starts.
3. Be clear about pay structure.
4. Make sure you have enough chips and decks of cards. (the first time we held this tourney I had to run down to the drugstore to buy more cards)
5. Play no limit and increase the blinds every 20 minutes.
Actually, the size of the tourney dictates how quickly to raise the blinds. We find that with 50 players and 20 minute blinds the tourney doesn't last much more than 6 hours.

Would you guys be interested in playing any of these tournaments online at hollywood poker tables? I'm curious to see if enough of us get into it, maybe the staff will make it happen for us. That is if we're interested enough. I could see us wanting to keep these games live, for sure....just curious if hollywood poker would hook us up with our own player tourneys :waytogo:
