Seeing as how I put real money up on this site I totally expect o lose some due to my play. However it really gets me angry when the House has server problems and I lose. It's ban enough that I play against team players and sharks .. That really never been an issue as I keep track of people I suspect of cheating and when I see them at a table I leave before the game. Servers going down there is nothing I can do about that but ask you when will you fix the problem? ... If you have no intention just let me know new sites are opening and some of the older sites are far more stable.

Poker Room, Celeb Poker and this sight all crashed last night starting around Midnight MST. First time I was booted out of the game and got error messages about java, by the time I got back in two players were gone off the 5 player tourney 10+1, my 2500 was down to 800 I lost that game. Next game same tables right after I took out two players in a all in and I had 5000 chips and bam .. booted out and for the next 30 min. couldn't get connected to the server ... That's when I tried Poker room and Celeb sites that share servers with you and sure enough I couldn't get into their game rooms or forum.

This doesn't look good and it's getting worse, you still have problems with JAVA. Then their was the Oscar Night near disaster where after all the hype and people like racing to get points for the tourney entry and on the night of the hyped game ... couldn't get logged in I was just about to leave ... so I wonder how many did ... sure we will never know but it doesn't look good. Could you imagine at the real Oscars if someone forgot to unlock the door to the theater and couldn't find the key for 20 min.'s.

So I lost a first place and defaulted to second on the last game and a possible first or second on the other game.

Just thought you would like to know ...

Hi KimChe,
I am so sorry that you were having problems with the site last night. I know that there is nothing worse then getting kicked out of a game in progress.

We are experiencing a large growth on the network with lots of new players. Please know that our techs are working night and day on server upgrades to help us deal with the new volume of players.

We understand what you are going though and how annoying it is and we appreciate that you let us know when problems like this happen so we can fix it.

Thanks Kim.

Patricia .. I've been ringing the bell here since I logged into this site .. Starting with MAC and OS9.x and the crashes the password changes ie .. hacking. Then the crashes in a J Woods tourny with James there to see it three in one night at one game back to back ..

I believe Keito was recently flustrated at his being kicked out of games. So when will it end? I have a friend that play at Party Poker he claims very little of this goes on.

Believe me Kim we hear you, as Patricia said we are working on it night and day. It is our first priority. We are growing so fast that wrinkles appear and we try to fix them as fast as they pop up. Jimmy and I both use Macs so we strive to be Mac friendly. A problem there is since Mac went to OSX a few years back most sites are attunded to that system and not so much the classic system. But we are working on making this site as compatible with classic as possible. We understand your frustration and are giving the problem our full attention. Thanks for pointing these things out.

Thanks for taking the time and responding personally.

You must understand my frustration also. We MAC lovers are true to our machines and I consider myself a MAC purist and just recently purchased two MAC G3 for my business. I have no intention at this time of converting from OS9.x to X.x. If I want to go down the UNIX road I'll switch to RED HAT or YELLOW DOG. I did however purchase a Dell laptop to interface between my server and other (DOS) Microsoft applications .. I find this easier than using MAC Link Plus or Virtual PC .. At this time I am not installing game software on the Laptop or allowing any employee to use it for games of any sort.

Further the frustrations are compounded when Poker Room who shares your site and game servers is charging to my account for purchases not made. Which now has forced me for the second time in a month to close my bank account and credit card attached to the account. Then we had here at this site the attempted hack ... So believe me that scared me so much I have changed all my security codes and passwords . Then to top it all off these constant JAVA code messages and seeing only 2/3 rds of the game server screen and no lobby chat.

The pluses for you and your site are your games are more fun with the stars and I really enjoy the six seat tournament and second is the five I'm only sorry more people don't play the six man tables. I also like the fact that your staff listen where at Poker they don't, but the biggest plus is you took the time and read my complaint and replied. .. Once this site is up and running properly I will close my Poker Room account and use this site as my main card room home site.

I will not however in good conscience recommend this site to any of my MAC user friends until the bugs are worked out. FYI there is a site designed just for MAC's and believe me MAC's run just great on it. The problem is they didn't do a good job of promotion and are really suffering from an acute sortage of real money players and therefore they haven't made any improvements in two years .. The name is Victoriaspoker.com, check them out and you'll see that a download able game is available to MAC users even on the OS 7.5 platform .

Again thank you and Patricia for a job very well done.

Here's an interesting little tidbit regarding OS 9 from cnet.com. It was originally published almost 2 years ago:

"Jobs kicked off Apple's annual worldwide developer conference by paying tribute to Mac OS 9. Jobs arrived on stage to the sound of funeral music and pulled a copy of OS 9 out of a coffin.

All of Apple's development is focused on OS X, and independent developers should follow suit, Jobs said.

"We are here today to mourn the passing of Mac OS 9," Jobs said. "He is no doubt looking down on us today with that same smile he showed us every time he booted up."

You're welcome Kim, as I said we're trying hard. As per the previous post, Apple has pretty much given up on Classic, and with the new OS Tiger coming soon, that's where their focus is. We will still continue to strive to accomodate the classic system as best we can. Unfortunately it is fast becoming an outdated system. I don't believe Apple even includes classic on any new computers it sells. I love my Mac and so far no problems using the site with Safari. That aside, we here at HP will always work to make your experience here a pleasurable one.

Thanks Mr. Woods .. I'm a very frugal person. I purchased two G3 PowerPC "B"series rom revision .. and one Dell CP latitude laptop off ebay for a total of $235.00 the shipping cost more than the units .. I plan to upgrade the G3's with Sonnet's 1meg backside cache and a G3 to G4 500 MHz total cost off EBAY $175.00. I have installed 2 IDE hard drives in each. Make the long story short I will be going to OS X on one drive and 9.2.2 on the other ...

Thanks; and again I say your have a really nice site here, I would like also to say it was nice playing with you last night(cards) I went back to playing my favorite 5 $10+1 tourny and came in second and first ..Tonight where I hope to see you and collect a bounty.

Always,

Kim ....

OK ... now you happy?
