I love playing Razz, probably because i never get good cards anyway. LOL. Plus it's the only time I get pairs of face cards.. LOL.
Seriously, it's a fun game.

I guess 7 card stud but anything with the name "stud" in it has to be good right? No really that was the first poker game I learned, Although I rarely play it anymore it still has a warm spot in my heart for me.

My Favorite Card Game is Penuchle. (3 handed cut throat)
My Favorite Poker Game is 7 Card STUD (real Poker)
but Stud Hi/L is terrible
just getting the hang of Omaha
Omaha seems better suited to Hi/L
Do we really care . . . .
, , , , , as long as we can play!!!

There is a game that I have heard of, but I'm not sure what it is called. It sounds fun...
Apparently the object is as follows:
1. Get a degree in psychology
2. Marry one of your college lab monkeys.
3. Convince it that it is a Texas hold 'em genius.
4. Wrapped it in black Ultimatebet.com wear.
5. Put oversized, retarded looking headphones on its head.
6. Enter it in televised poker tournaments.
7. Then watch it embarrass itself, you, and your family on national TV with phrases like:
"If this game didn't involve luck, I would win every time"
"I can't believe, I loose to a guy who can't even spell poker"
8. Finally, listen to people say things to you like:
"With all your degrees in psychology, you can't just teach that monkey a simple principle like gratitude?"
Anyone else heard of this game? I think it might be called "Where's the Beef"

7 card stud but I would rather play pot limit rather than limit. Makes some of the chasers put in a little more money for those draws.

stud
i liek stud more than holdem..u have no noobs looking for money...and when new blood comes theyre money is guarunteed yours. i wouldent prefer pot limit becuz u dotn have enoguh to bet with 3rd street to ptu an all-in bet theres so many more cards to be delt. stud keeps u thinking more aswell and takes alot more startegy.

My favorite other game is Pot Limit Omaha, but not hi-lo. I would love to see this site run some HORSE tournaments. I've played in a couple before on another site, I think it's a great test of how good a poker player you actually are. And there is a definite difference between being a good poker player and being a good hold'em player. Realistically, you watch enough of the WPT or the WSOP, you can play hold'em. Stud, Omaha and Razz are completely different animals.

This may be the funniest post ever:

Pity he doesn't seem to be around anymore. One point of order though, Phil's wife has a degree in Psychiatry.
Another of the monkey's embarrassing phrases that I like:
"You can't tell if a game is good at a glance, you have to watch it for a little while. I can tell if a game is good at a glance because I know all the great players, if none are in the game, it's good."
~Phill Hellmuth
Anyway, I'm with Amandolyn, TerryRuss and that poster on page 1 (or 2 maybe) that like 5 card draw as their second preference.
I like to feel the connection to poker's roots I get when I play this game, plus I can pretend I'm Doc Holliday on an all night drinking/card playing/knifing people at the table binge! :waytogo:
