Me and a few of my friends have a weekly poker game at one of our houses.
We are all good friends and we have all only been playing for under a year.
My friends always have the mentality that if you all bet more you can win more. They seem to forget that you can also lose more. One week (three weeks ago) I decided that I was buying in for $5 but my friends (under the bet big, win big mentality) wanted to but-in at $10. We usually allow one re-buy each when someone gets beat out of the game. I didn't want to have to buy-in at $10 and then re-buy at $10 so I suggested that they get 100 chips and I start with 50. They agreed and we started the game. I understand this may not seem fair but whatever :) . So I got a few nice hands right at the beginning of the game and my friends (with twice as many chips) tried to muscle me around and beat me out quickly. I played my hands well and ended up doubling and then tripling my chips. The game continued for an hour and a half and a few members had to re-buy their way back into the game. I beat them out one by one and ended up winning. I had only bet $5 and I won $45!!! :waytogo: I figured it was just luck, but the next two weeks when we played we all bought in with $5 and I won both weeks. In the three weeks I have bet $5 a week and won a total of $110. I think I might have to throw this weeks game or else my friends might not want me to play anymore. haha! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
