How do we know if we're near the top 500 or not? Is there a ranking posted somewhere? You might get more business if players could see if they were near the cutoff for the freeroll and play more to get a spot.
Spyke_Daddy
I believe you can see your rank online on the HP website in the My Account Tab!

I cannot find that information under My Account. I can see my point total and that is all. Perhaps nothing will show unless I get into the top 500? Does anyone else see the point total ranking?

ok when will we find out who are the 50 all time points leaders and will there be a running total for the 500 points leaders?

We will be sending out emails to the top 50 lifetime point earners in the next few days.
You should now see a counter on your my account page that will display how many points you have acquired between May 16 - June 16 and what your current rank is. You will also see how many points the 500th place qualifier has so that you can get an idea of how you stand in relation to the field.
Good Luck Everyone!

Averaging 97.25 points per day that I've been here, for a total of 1945.5 is that good?
Julie

Yes Frills, I'd say that's great :waytogo:

The section titled, "Poker Points of lowest qualifier" in the My Account section is not clear to me. The number in there is 8. Does that mean I need eight more points and I'd be in the top 500? How do I interpret that number? I have much, much more than 8 points but it says I need to earn more points to qualify.
Thanks,

Okay, it makes sense to me now. I forgot it was on points earned for a certain period, not our total balance of points. Should be another fun tournament! I look forward to it!

I would be a good idea to not include those 50 players who have already been awarded a ticket to this tournament on the list of 500 players who are still competing for one. You'll just be awarding them a duplicate ticket and shutting out 50 additional people who would have won one.

There are definitely players on our top 50 all time poker points earner lists that are not among the top 500 earners for the past month. Yes, some members may qualify by both standards, but this is not the case for many of the top 50 all time earners. We aren't taking away any seats from the top 500 point earners from the past month - if a top 50 all time point earner is in this list then they are just as entitled to that spot.
Essentially there are not a fixed number of places that we need to fill up. So all in all it depends on the players - those who are on the top 50 all time poker point earners list and/or the top 500 poker point earners between May 16th and June 16th all qualify for the tournament.
I hope this answers your question deuce. Good luck and we hope to see you at the Casting Call tournament!
Julie :)

So it'll be between 500 & 550 entrants if all qualified play? What do they do with their extra ticket?
Julie
06-03-2005, 12:38 PM
Yes senatorwu1, there is the potential to have up to 550 players, but it all depends on the players. Those that meet the poker point requirements will only be issued one ticket.
Good luck and I hope to see you there!

So the ticket is an 'either/or thing not an 'and' thing.... gotcha, holding in at 458...

Julie :)
I'm going to back up the MOD on this one. I'm one of the top all-time points earners, but not on the list. I doubt there are many people who are in this position, but I'm one. Also, i fully intend not to be on that 500-list, so be assured i won't be stealing anyone's spot - but that being said, I'm quite happy if other people narrow the field :)

So what am I doing on the Top 500 list if I'm not going to be issued a ticket since I already have one?
Julie

Everyone who has earned more poker points than the person in 500th place during the alloted timeframe is on the top 500 poker point earner list. Regardless of whether you are a top 50 all-time poker point earner.
Congratulations deuce, you are one of the few who meet both requirements to enter the Casting Call tournament. :)

Hi Deuce,
I just wanted to give you a few more details on the Casting Call tournament...
As you know we are inviting the top 500 poker point earners in the allotted time frame into the event. We also wanted to reward our all time point earners with a ticket as well. We do realize that some of the top point getters may fall into both categories. We simply wanted to provide a small reward to our loyal long time point earners. We did factor the overlap into the equation when determining how many players to qualify for the tournament. It appears to me as though you are just trying to ensure that another player doesn't miss out on a spot because you "double" qualified. Just one more example of the fine upstanding players we have here at HP. :waytogo:
