the 3 hr wait for registration for a freeroll was TOO long but atleast everyone had a chance to register. Now either it won't show open on the software till after it's full or I'm in there with no registered and I register and it won't accept it.
So much for freerolls. Same 30 people play every single one.

I concur with registration opening 30 mins prior to start

Amen sister.
I think the only solution would be to increase people allowed in to 50 or 75 or something like that. I don't know really, I dont have a lot of experince with it. But if you have anything less than a T1 web registration is impossible and the software may just not be able to update fast enough.

When the hourly freerolls launched a lot of players had problems getting registered through the web as well. Basically, because it is a different method through the in-game, you just need to get used to it again.
Wait for the tournament to update from announced to open, then double click and select register. It would probably help to watch as other tourneys are changing from announced to open so you know exactly what time your computer will display at the exact rollover time.
I am sure once you try it a few times you will get the hang of it just like last time.
I don't think we will be making any further changes to the registration time for the hourly freerolls as they are a promotion for May. But still please feel free to post your suggestions so that we can take them into consideration for future promotions and tournaments.
Cheers,
Julie

Does it update at the same time for everyone though?

Yes it does on our backend, but this will show differently on everyone's system depending on their internet connection, your computer, java vs. download, etc. There are a lot of factors on the user's end that could impact this.

No it doesn't because I have been on voice and had other tell me theirs shows open and mine still says announced. By the time it shows open on mine it's also says 30.
b4 lots of different people played with web registration. Now it's the same 30 people game after game after game after game.
I have sit and hit the refresh button on the bottom right of the d/l version and that does absolutely f*ck all.
The few times it did open for me b4 it filled it refused to accept my registration.
It's b*llsh*t!! And the more support refuses to recognize that this way has cut out a large majority of us from EVER having a chance to get it the more I think it's rigged. I wanna know how come others are getting it showing open 30secs to 1 min b4 I do? I wanna know when it does open and i'm in it with NO one registered it won't accept mine?!!!

The refresh button on the download game refreshes your delay - it's not the same thing as refreshing a page through a browser. The tournaments all open at the same time through the network - the reason some people see a difference in times is because of a lag with their internet connection or with their computer.
When we first launched the freerolls the same people were getting registered over and over again on the first day as well. But once more people got accustomed to registering, there was more player variety.
Bottom line - the hourly freerolls are difficult to get in to. That is why they are just a promotion and why we are still offering our regular $250 freerolls on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
We have had a few people test the registration and we aren't having any issues on our end. I am sorry that this is so frustrating for you, but all I can suggest is to keep trying until you get the hang of it.

Personally speaking, and from personal experience, I think people who rip in and register in every single freeroll keeping others who want to play is unfair and certainly rude. To these people, it is funny. Especially when they know others would like to play in the freerolls and that they are preventing anyone else from playing. For the most part, it is the same people and they know who they are. My advice is if you are going to hang out here, or anywhere else, try to be more courteous to the people you know and play with each day.
My 2 cents

Regardless I have pulled my account and i'm uninstalling the software for this account.
I'm sorry I ever promoted this site to other players and encouraged them to come here.
The b/s about support not being biased is a load of cr*p. Honey continually baits Riz making his eperience here a misery as well now Seed and the other honey butt lickers are allowed to harrass me in the lobby but because they didn't swear they don't get warned.
No this site isn't biased.

I am really sorry to hear this Prairie. I have certainly not seen anyone harass you in the lobby and if I did I would definitely address it regardless of whether the person was swearing or not.
I am not sure there is anything else I can say to try and get you to stay, other then to tell you again that we strive to be fair and consistent with all players. I am sure I am not the only member who will miss you playing here, so I do hope that you reconsider.

of course you didn't Julie... Support NEVER sees them and when they are called out to address the issue the answer is always "i didn't see it" or "i didn't see any foul language".
I'm tempted to re-install the software just to sit in the lobby and harrass players making the site just as unfun for them as they did for me. Of course I would be giving a reprimand by support for harrassing behaviour even though I didn't swear right?

I'll miss playing poker with you if you go. Either way good luck to you.
I find these freerolls kind of annoying I've played a couple but could care less if you did this as a promotion again. I have enjoyed the majority of your promotions though so thanks.

Can't we all please grow up and remember we are here to enjoy poker - all of this seems pretty immature and I am sorry for others who have had their feelings hurt. I come here to play poker with good players who for the most part are kind and inviting Occasionally I run across the person who has had a bad game or feels they are somehow losing due to control of their game by the system and for the most part they whine and complain and threaten to leave and some do . I think most have been wished well by the other players here. All I am saying is why can't we all focus on the purpose of the site which is playing with interesting, talented people and stop using it as a rant board that somehow gives some purpose to otherwise drab lives. Leave it alone for awhile and see if everyone can't just adjust to the peace and quiet. For what it is worth anyway that is my rant

OK everyone, I am closing this thread as well, given that this is the suggestion box and we have moved past the suggestions in this thread.
Thanks again for your concerns and I hope everyone is having better luck registering for the hourly freerolls today.
If you are having any problems, please feel free to contact myself or any members of our support team.
Thanks,
Julie
