When awarding the Celebrity Bounties for our Michael Wood's Invitational this morning I came across this bad beat and I just had to share it.

FLOP [board cards 10C,QH,AH ]

TURN [board cards 10C,QH,AH,KC ]

RIVER [board cards 10C,QH,AH,KC,10S ]

SHOWDOWN
Alan Rosenberg shows [ 8C,8D ]
southpaw xxx shows [ JS,JH ]
bambammadman shows [ AC,AD ]

southpaw xxx if I was in your position I would have been totally arrogant - I mean how often does a straight draw get beat out by triple Aces???

Great job for not being rash like me and going all in - hopefully you'll have better luck next time.

At no point in the hand was the pocket Jacks a favorite

It was at the Turn...

There he had a straight

But on the river it was beat by the full house

Depending on the preflop betting which is probbaby heavy, at the turn, I wouldn't feel very comfortable with the straight, far too many redraws out there.


But I'm also thinking that they may have been all in preflop, since the 88 went to showdown.

And for once the bad beat boogieman didn't beat on

Alan went all in with 8's after the flop puting me to the decision to go all in with three aces (not a hard decision).
I got lucky hiting that 10.
