Ricki Lake logged on and this poor guy kept saying hey Ricki .... I decided to let him know that she doesn't really talk to people and she seemed like a bit of a snob ...... well she roared back on and was a bit miffed with me.... To tell you the truth that was the first time I have ever seen her chat in the lobby..... I guess all of the Stars can't be like Michael....
Take care

Maybe she was just a little upset that her career is over lol j/k.

SNAP! Ouch, that hurt. I hardly doubt she has to worry that much about her career being over just yet. If anything (i.e. hopefully) she was smart enough to bank some of that cash she made doing her talk show.
Ultimately she should have ignored Macs, but I guess even celebrities are people too! More power to Ricki for runnin' some smack!

Now come on .... I wasn't talking to her ... if fact I thought she had moved on somewhere .... I just made the comment so the guy would not feel so bad..... In my opinion it would have taken much less effort for her just to say hi to the guy then to slam me for saying she was a bit of a snob.

Totaly agree (if not Ricki is here somewhere *looking around in the room*)
If that poor guy keep saying "Hello" to (I guess) a Celeb that hi admire. Then I "Hello" back is the least a Celeb should do.
I mean they play on a site were we love Celebritys and they even have red text (I want!) so com' on show us some respect.
Just arguing back to Macsrule just show us that she was reading the chat but even thou didn't say "Hi". Low... Very low!
I've talked to 3 persons in the chat:
Michael Woods
Dule Hill
Tom McGowan
*Cheer to you* A small talk to you, means a lot to the humanity

I can't say that I'm a fan of her show, therefore a fan of Ricki. As far as her being a snob and not talking to people here, that's completely off base in my experience. I was here a couple afternoons a while ago, where she was chatting it up in the lobby. She was on jury duty, and on break. She was very friendly. Not everyone who plays here chats in the lobby, and neither do the stars. If they did would there ever be an end? I'm sure some come just to play and relax. If I stopped on the street everytime somoene shouted at me and wanted my autograph, I'd never get anywhere! I've never played in a ring or tourney with anyone starred, except Michael Woods. As everyone knows he's very accommodating. I'll be playing in the shootout in a couple hours, and am looking forward to the banter :roflmao: Between James, Mike W, Willie Garson, Mike Kelly, etc, it should be a good time. Curious to see if Michael Ian Black is as funny without a script in front of him :)
You deserved to get slammed mac for making the assumption, and STATING that she was a bit of a snob. On top of that, you assumed(pattern?)she had left, and saying this when you thought her back was turned. Not to mention the fact that you assumed(yes, definitely a pattern)the guy was all upset that ricki lake didn't say hi to him.

If i walk down the street and someone says hello ... I say hello .... If I didn't then I would be called rude and so would you. Taking two seconds to type hello room would not clutter anything. Talking behind someones back.... jeeezzz that is stretching things a bit .... You have a lot of flaws in your argument

While I appreciate the extensive thought you put into your post .... the fact is ... when someone says hello it's polite to say hello back ... simple simple simple ... if you don't it's considered rude ... simple simple simple....

whether she is a snob or not i do not know, nor do i care. my thought is this.....
if you come to a site that promotes celebrities and you get your name in bright, bold red and is displayed in every lobby... then you should take two minutes to make pleasantries and then be on your way to whatever game you came to play. if you are not wanting to do that, as a celeb, you should have the option to not be treated like one (i.e. with the bold, red and have your presence being announced) and you can carry on just like a "normal" person would do. i don't really think people ask for much. no one cares what your favorite dress was when you were 5. just a little hello. if someone gets out of hand, ignore them or move on to your game. just make the general pleasantries.
besides, just as we can't please people all the time with the things we say... let's take a moment to remember that celebs are people too. they are no better than me or you... they just have more money and head shots.
my two cents. have a lovely day!

You mean Ricki Lake of that silly chit-chat show?! Come one ... that lady isn't important. Why you should say hello to her. Next time you have to say: Fook Ya!

Hey guys, I don't mean to step on anyones toes here, but when I login to HP, I don't even look at the chat window  . I usually just find a table or tournament and start to play. Maybe Ricki never looked at the lobby chat or maybe she logged in and then had to go turn off the stove or something...who knows, but just thought I'd give you guys another point of view. :)

Maybe ... but if she was not observing the window she would not have seen me say that she was acting kind of snobby ... that's when she unleashed or simplistic rashhhhhh....
