I'm getting so aggressive I'm cussing..I have to lose some pressure before it boils over. Thank God I have no young kids at home, but I have my husband. Think one day would do it?

Well I know a valuim would work better but thats outta the question for me. My ex husband kept them all with the divorce lol.

Well laughing sure helped.

Need a joke or two in Ct.

The Zen of poker is about learning what our own motives are for playing and cultivating equanimity in the face of the inevitable bad beats that characterize a game in which NO HAND is a sure winner. (Even a Royal Flush can be tied). Think of Phil Ivey's expressionless response to wins and losses. Photos of him show no differences. "It's just another hand," is his motto. In live games this ability is priceless as it limits the information that your opponents get from you.

To play poker you expose yourself to the gods of probability and invest your risk capital accordingly. Likewise, you force your opponents to pay for the opportunity to beat you. Often they do. Stuff happens. If you can't honestly evaluate when you played well and lost or contrariwise, played badly and won, poker isn't going to be a positive experience over the long run. Most importantly, although enjoyable in other circumstances drugs and alcohol will hurt your play--and your ability to learn from mistakes. Don't go there. You need total clarity, especially the ability to monitor subtle intuitive clues, in order to play at your best. Good luck.

read the book, Zen And The Art Of Poker by Larry W. Phillips. it's better than taking drugs and you don't fall asleep at the table.

hey sweats, we all know the frustrations, i actually took a week off because of some costly bad beats, and after 3rd day i wasnt even thining much about poker, it was kind of nice. a break every now and then is actually refreshing for the serious player. its just like work, you gotta have time off every now and then , poker is no exception. thats my 2 cents.... not quite as well written as the monk before me, but hope it helps haha!

how can a royal flush be tied? I mean, other than the obvious situation where there is a royal flush on the board.
