Check this one out! I'll give you the scenario and you decide what YOU would do. (This just happened to me in the 20k guar. )
I have 4500, you have 5500. Blinds are 200 and 400. I'm in 4th position (2nd to act), Your on the SB. I raise in 1200. a small stack of 800 calls, you call from the SB with 6s 6c. Flop comes Kc Qc 4c. I'm first to act and go all in! WHAT DO YOU DO???
Post your answer and I'll be back in a few to see what you say and give the final outcome.

Not sure if my 5500 is before or after I post my 200 blind, but okay...So the pot is...3600...plus your all-in bet of 2300 makes it 5900...I've got about 3300 left. Two overcards on the flop (with someone ELSE already in pre-flop, probably with paint), a possible flush already, abnd if a four-flush comes, any other club pretty much beats me....I fold and live to see another hand. Heh. Surely that's not what happened tho. Do tell.

even if i werent playing as tight as i usually do, i GET THE HECK OUT. if so, i am sure to see more hands and not get a "suckout" button from people who use them like i do in the download version. ( love those little colored dots)

How do I not fold?
This sounds like a party poker problem.... :)

I'd fold. If an 800 stack called you be4 the flop, and I saw the flop and remembered you raised before the flop, with two over cards on the board, I wouldn't stay married to those 6's. Thus, protecting what I had. There's always the next hand.

TY for your responses. It's good to know there are atleast a few intelligent poker players around! If there was anyone out there who maybe thought calling was ok in that case, please do some kind of reading or get help somewhere! :what:
OK, heres what happened. He actually called!!! I had QQ, a set (obviously no clubs) The turn comes club, now I need the board to pair up on the river. Doesn't happen and i'm out.
I wish I could remember his/her name for everyone. This person needs to be reminded on an hourly basis how horrible a poker player they are. I just can't imagine what was going through that persons mind to think they had the best hand at the time, or if another club comes, the 6 would hold up! Completely UNBELIEVABLE! Things like this have been happening to me way too much as of late. I can only hope the people playing start making better decisions in the future. It'll save me a bunch of money on mice. LOL
Good Luck all! Hope you don't run into this person!
Keep up the good work HP!!

Horrible player?? I for one don't have enough details to say the the 'caller' made a bad call. Was everyone in the money? Players left? Did you make a play earlier in the tourney to make him think that you were trying to pull a fast one? Anyway, I'm not saying that he made the right call but one must remember the first rule in calling someone in Hold'em.............there is none.

"This person needs to be reminded on an hourly basis how horrible a poker player they are."
Gary,
I have seen you at the site plenty of times and I know you are a good player and a friendly guy. And as much as I may agree with your above statement...
NEVER TAP ON THE AQUARIUM!
(i dont think you actually gave this guy a hard time)
I have been seeing alot more aggressive chat towards bad calls with good suckouts, might just be my experience but I don't get why people do this. IMHO, alot of it really isn't justified either. I am a low stakes SNG player primarily and you see it all the time, a guy is shortstacked with 12 outs and catches on the river and the fireworks start to go off.
If you see a player make a bad move, note it and keep it to your self. Personally its not my place to call out the fishies nor do I want to. If anything I will type "nice hand" while catching the vomit in my mouth. Again, I dont think gary would be guilty of this, his statement just got me thinking about it
