RPB: Honey, just relax.
HONEY_COMB1: I told you guys for the last time. I don't want this sucka's blood in me. It's going to make me crazy like him.
RIZLA: No, it's not going to make you crazy, it'll make you mellow. You can even room with me at the coffee shop in Amsterdam. I'll have them bring in an extra bunk and we can sit together and watch the walls melt.
HONEY_COMB1: RPB!!!!!!!!
RPB: I love it when a plan comes together!

A Professional Poker Player? :hpmrclub: Of course I want to be one! Indeed, becoming one is part of my long term life plan.

I am a 45 year old self employed professional. Being self employed, like all things in life, has its +s and -s. The plus side being the freedom and getting to keep all the profit :) ; the minus side being the lack of benefits or pension plans.

So.... I will continue to play (mostly here at HP) until my skills develop to the point that I have Phil Helmuth and Chris Fergusen sweating every time they see me across a table, until my current ability to generate 5-10 dollars a week at low limits becomes 5,000-10,000 at the big cash games, until all my friends see me on the travel channel every Wednesday... :waytogo:

Seriously, a second career with no heavy lifting, no morning alarms, where you can drink while you work  , and the only real qualification needed is being smart....Hell, if I had it all to do over again I might have made Professional Poker Player my first career!

See you while I keep practicing! :computer:

The only way I could be a professional poker player would be if I was already a millionare because no way do I have enough bank to back up the losses that every professional goes through in his/her poker career. I love the game for all the different reasons people play such as the thrill of winning, money, and great competition. But the answer to the question is YES I would love to be a professional if I was fortunate enough to have the kind of money it takes to become one.

Sure find me a sponsor or two I'll wear their hats shirts and sunglasses. I'll even let them put a temporary tatoo on my forehead. :silly:

But that's where i draw the line....
