I was playing at the Belagio a few months back while I was in LV for a work conference. I had about 700 on the table in front of me. I look at my cards in the big blind and what do I see... AA.

My blind gets raised and re-raised to about 200. The person who did the final raise was showing bluffs all night so I thought he was trying to buy the pot. When the action was on me I pushed. Everyone else folded except for the bluff guy. He called and I immediately said "thank you!" out loud.

He said "you shouldn't be happy" and flipped over his cards... AA! At this point I think, 'ok, we are going to chop the pot'. The flop comes all rags with two spades. Sure enough, runner-runner spades to give him the nut flush! I almost had a heart attack.

One more...

playing at a local poker room. I look at my cards and I see 55. I limp in and the flop comes 5JT. a player raised big in front of me and I pushed everything in. Immediately the person next to me goes all in for more then me. Everyone else folds except for the original better. He called and had us both covered. We flip over our cards and what do I see? TT and JJ. We all flopped sets!!!! Needless to say I got dominated. No biggie but boy what a weird hand.

that is pretty bad...ive had a few beats none as bad as AA vs AA but once i limped with pocket 2s and two other guys in the pot. flop hits 237 i go all in one guy folds the other calls and turns over pocket 3s!
and in a SnG i had bullets pretty short stacked so i pushed. one call around the table some reckless player turns over pocket ducks and hits a set

so yea weve all had some interesting beats but that is pretty amazing ad

see ya around

Losing AA to AA truly sucks, and not just from a statistical point of view.

Sucks almost as much as going all in with AA and losing to a PP less than 99, LOL.
