Hi!

My name is Leslie. I’m 24 and from a small town in western Pennsylvania. At this point in time I’m not married and I have no kids. WOO-HOO! I’m living the life! I can do whatever I want whenever I please. Don’t get me wrong - I like kids and all, but just don’t want any yet. I have a total of 9 nieces and nephews. We like to play sports, ride four-wheelers and play poker. Well, only my oldest nephew plays poker with me. He's 12, but we don’t play for much. We just want to give him something to do for going to school. He has fun.

People always ask me if I’m superstitious. Of course I am. What poker player isn’t just a little bit? My dream is to play in the World Series of Poker one day.
I don't even know why. I’m not even any good at poker! I just think it’d be fun. I watch the World Series of Poker every chance I get and I always say the same thing: MAN! I wish that was me.

So what else do I do besides play poker, ride four-wheelers and play sports? I love to play video games. I have them all from the old style Nintendo to PlayStation 2. I even play poker on the PS2, but my favorite game for the PS2 would have to be either Twisted Metal Black or NBA Jam.

My dad loves to play poker too. He plays every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I guess I take after him. He wants me to go with him all the time but I won’t go because the only games I know how to play are Hold’em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw.

How do you play 44? I have no idea. There are lots of other weird ones too. I recall my worst bad beat like it was yesterday. I had 8,9 of diamonds and on the flop was a Qd, Jd and a 7 of spades. So, I bet on the flush draw and on the turn was the 3 of hearts. So I bet again. On the river was a Kd, which gave me the straight flush. I went all-in and somebody called me. I was sure I had this one. When it came time to show the cards the other player had the ace and 10 of diamonds which of course gave them the Royal. I was like, “You son of a BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP”. Let me tell you, that totally sucked.

If anyone read this all, I have to congratulate you. It’s one of the most boring things you'll probably ever read.

Good luck to you all at the poker tables. Hope to catch some of you at my table sometime soon!

You didn't have a straight flush, and that wasn't a bad beat.

Thanks!
