Every Wednesday there is a "Beat the Pro" Tourney.
Top Pro and Auther Lou Krieger related THIS to a Question:
I don't adjust my strategy, but perhaps I ought to. Everyone, it seems, is chasing after me to win the $50 bounty, a T-shirt saying that says I "knocked out the expert," and an autographed book. I get called more frequently than I think I ought to, and while it sometimes helps me build up a large stack of chips, somoeone ineveitably gets lucky and KOs me.
In last night's tournament, for example, a player made a small raise and I came over the top all-in with a pocket pair of kings. Rather than let his hand go, he called, which he probably should not have done, given the pot odds and their relationship to the odds against making his hand. After all, he was probably only a very small favorite if I held A-K or A-Q, and a big underdog if I held JJ, QQ, KK or AA. The flop was 9-8-7 and he rivered a jack to make a straight and take me out of the tournament.
There's nothing you can do once you've moved all-in except let the cards fall and go on from there. But I do think that as a bounty in a tournament, I'm playing with a big target on my back and everyone is shooting for it.
