In multi-table tourneys I like to play against less then or right around 100 players, if not, I'd prefer to sit and go single or multi-table. In my opinion your just increasing your chance to lose with more players. I know the reward is generally greater but I'll be patient and take a little at a time. DMA

 I LIKE PLAYING WITH FEWER PEOPLE ,IT SEEMS LIKE PEOPLE PLAY SMARTER WHEN THERE ISN'T AS MANY PLAYERS. JUST LIKE WHEN I I PLAY A FREEROLL AND HALF THE TABLE IS AWAY,YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING THE HAND IS ALOT BETTER THEN IF THE WHOLE TABLE PLAYS :jump: HAPPYS DAYS ALL

But unlike JackOsborne I have great stamina and I can play cards for along time also  So a game with 300 players works for me, also gives a nice pot if you win

Time seems to be the main factor for the number of players that join a multi-table...I have found that even with 100 or 500 or even 1000 players the time is about the same..by the time the 2nd hour rolls around the blinds will eat you up and the final table is near...by the 3rd hour you should be at the final table and hopefully in the money....I could be wrong and I have been that more than iI like but this is just my observation. 3hours is not that long you get 5 minute breaks every hour :silly:

O yeah!

Sensibility says: the less the better. But; I don't seem to do that well in Tourneys with 40 to 100 people.

I selected by looking at my performance.

:fg:

The Multi Table Tournaments I have WON: have had between 200 & 400 people. With only one somewhere
in the 700 to 800 area. When it gets over a Thousand; I am lucky to make it to the top Hundred.
I think the best i've done in a 2000 is 4th; and 12th in the last Forum Challenge.

The ones with 10,000 plus if I make it to the first break it is a miricle.

For me Size does make a difference.

hmm less is better, less competition, ha not that any big egos will agree, Since some players think they ARE the next WSOP champions, if playing the lotto id like it better if it was less people , odds are 100 trillion to 1 :roflmao: :jump:

I used to think playing against 1,000 or more players would be impossible, it's not. You just need to adjust your play. And it doesn't take as long to complete as you may think.
Overall I still prefer playing a medium size tourney of about 300 players. The payout is there and not so many players.
Pokerlips has spoken! ;)
