A word of thanks to all those who participated in the inaugural Michael Woods Invitational Tournament. It turned out better than we hoped! We put it on a week early, so pardon us if it seemed rushed. Next week we'll have ironed out the kinks and hopefully many more celebs, so of course, more bounties! Congrats to Athos834 as our first winner! Thank you to our players, thank you to our celebrities, you are the ones who make Hollywoodpoker the best site around. Special congrats to my brother James Woods for being the last celebrity to go out, though it was close with Vince! Jimmy was taping the Jimmy Kimmel show and trying to play, way to go Jimbo! Love ya! Let's do it again next week! And hope I finish better than 50th, arrrggg.

Once again, thank you to all those who played in last nights Michael Woods Invitational. Sorry we were low on celebs, James was on his way to the Sundance Film Festival and Vince had a prior commitment. Unfortunately many of the celebs thought it was 10:00 California time, so we'll get that straightened out for next week. Willie Garson missed it by about a minute, Scott Baio by 2, and Mena Suvari by 2 minutes also. But thanks to all who played and the celebs for trying. Congratulations to mikeford888 as our winner, with honorable mention to: ten8video, DISCO75, pinavera, and P.mac. I finished 26th which is better than 50th, still not in the money though. Rats. Oh well.... there's always next week. And thanks to Pakrat for pointing out I got beat in a dress...Hey! They put me in that position on the table! Sheesh.

Hey Mike good showing this week! Kicked my butt this time. It's even now. :silly: I have a suggestion to maybe help out with the people being late. (excluding Willie's computer problem of course) Have the celebs sign on early to sign up and talk to the HP people while waiting. They could pick seperate chat lobbies, (table games, tournaments and the MWI) so it would be easier for people to talk to whomever thay wanted. Ya' Think that could work? Just a thought. Keep up the great work Mike!

LOL I just love the fortune cookie and the ring girl! Once again we had a great time. Congratulations to Bee37 as our winner and we must mention Texstarjim again (still known as Stinky) as a close 2nd. I got knocked out by coco bean and once again the last celeb standing was James Woods, way to uphold the family name Jimmy! Jimmy finished 9th overall a great showing! There is no MWI this coming thursday as we are having the Oscar freeroll, but we'll be back the following week! Once again, thanks to all who participated!

As you know, we here at Hollywood Poker strive to make your playing experience as fun as possible. So, in that vein and keeping with our "Hollywood" theme we are adding guest star bounties to the Michael Woods Invitational! Every week, our last weeks winner will become a guest star bounty. In addition, each week I'll pick a player to be another guest star bounty. Our last winner was Bee37 and they are our previous winner bounty, and for his help on Sunday I'm picking Gary_J this week as our other guest star bounty. Knock out either one and win $20! But that wasn't quite enough so, as the host, my bounty has been upped to $25. And of course should either of these two knock out a bounty they still get the $20. Hope to see plenty of players gunning for our bounties! We hope this will add some spice to the tourney! Good luck to all and hope to see you Thursday night at 10 EST!

Once again a word of thanks to all who played in last nights MWI. We had a great turnout and lots of fun. A big congrats to mslizax as our winner, and of course they become our next weeks first guest star bounty. Honorable mention to: boldcat, KingsXFan, deuce_bebop, and redleg1990. Great finish folks! Once again the last celeb standing was James Woods, it's his second time as last celeb, congrats Jimbo! Vince Van Patten was first celeb out, sorry Vince, hope you do better next time. Had a great time in the Michael Woods Invitational last night. Just wish I was smart enough not to fold my 23 os with 2 threes on the flop when Michael Woods was all in so I could collect the nounty.

Pardon my confusion, but can someone tell me if the "Red Carpet Ticket" in my newly funded account is the same as (and good for) the Michael Woods Invitational. I only ask because my ticket says it's good for "Monday" nights game (8pm est) but everyone here seems to be referring to a Thursday tournament. I would love to be able to use this for any night BUT Monday.

The Red Carpet Tournament is a special tournament for new players to the site. It is Monday nights at 8pm EST.
