i'm just getting started and have been playing on the free tables but i'm syarting to get bored. i want to start playing for money what's agood amount to start with and should i play in tournaments

yes i would play in tournies and its always healthy to buy in for 50 dollars and start with low stakes this way you dont lose much

In my experience if you have about 20X the tournament buy-in you should be just fine. so if you were to play $5 tournaments $100 should be enough to sustain any varience. If you are playing MTT's more than STT's I would say maybe 30X your bankroll because the varience will be higher.
