I have played some different kinds of poker other than Hold'em, but to be honest I can't remember how to play many of them. I know this may sound like a lame question, but what poker game do guys think a Hold'em type of guy like myself should play?

Every game is different and has its own nuances.

I like them all... because they all help to improve your overall poker game in all areas.

Limit - Patience, good cards and subtle plays. Love it.
Omaha High - Game of the Nuts. Love it.
Omaha Hi/Lo - Complex game of the Nuts with many different aspects.
Seven Stud - The original Poker game. Great.

Did I miss any?

5 Draw - Ehhh... Actually not too fond of this one. Seems like lots of luck involved.

Basically, for each game, you have to re-set your standards for which is the mean (average) winning hand:

For example, in NL, you'll find a single pair will win a lot of the hands. But in Limit you'll find the mean winning hand is like two pair or trips. 7-Card Stud is like two pair. Omaha is like a straight or a flush.

Take your time to try each one and see which you actually have the most fun playing naturally, and see if it suits your existing playing style.

In the end you'll see each game compliments the other and you'll enjoy playing poker overall with the more experience you have in all the different varieties of Poker.

Any top player is normally very good at all variations of poker. I would try them all out. I have to disagree with the post above. If you are playing limit hold em your strategy should vary based on many variables including the number of people at the table (getting more aggressive with less people at the table) and the opponents. Variances tend to be higher in omaha than any other games, with stud have the lowest variances.
