Hey guys. I ahev no idea where to post this. I'm moving to Las Vegas to play poker with a buddy. We are both in our mid twenties and are recent college grads. I plan on playing mostly cash games, my buddy wants to play local tournaments mostly. I planned on playing at the Bellagio. Is this the right choice? Should I play multiple places or find one and stick with it? What about the Mirage? Has the Wynn made headway; or MGM? Do all the places have pretty good cash games right now? I have only played at the Bellagio. I will be playing in the 5-10/10-20 range. I also play $200 no limit games and I LOVE good O8 games but I don't know of any in my pay range. Do 2+2ers get together out there? Are there local poker clubs that are worth belonging to? We are really planning on emersing ourselves into the poker community and taking in the culture of it. I also want to find people to talk poker with and stuff because I want to be the best player I can be. I would appreciate any help you Las Vegas residents have. See you March 23rd

You're moving to Vegas to play professionally, and you don't even know where to play?

Please tell me this is a TRIP, not a MOVE, or at the very least, it's some kind of weird post-college experiment, not a career plan! There are a few posts about where to find the good action (do a search) in Vegas. But what scares me is you're moving to Vegas to play professionally, according to what you've written, and you've only ever played at Bellagio? Good lord. No offense brother, but this looks like a recipe for disaster.

But, if you plan to play pro there, you do need to find multiple places. That I know for sure. The Venetian just opened up a poker room - should be a nice place to visit.
