Hi all,

As you already know, our very first $250 Hollywood Poker Stars Forum Freeroll is slotted to take place on Wednesday August 9th, 2006, however the specific time has yet to be determined. Mark, our Tournament Manager, and I have been discussing what would be the best start time for the tournament and we thought - why not let our players decide? So here we are!

Please take the time to vote in this poll to determine what time you would like your $250 Hollywood Poker Stars Forum Freeroll to take place. If you choose "other", please reply to this thread indicating what time you would prefer. And because its a Hollywood Poker poll - you will earn one HP Star just for voting!

This is going to be the same night as the 2K cHP freeroll?

I have to go with the 10 pm time slot. 7 pm est is to close to those coming home from work and families are to rushed at that time for everyone to join in. 8pm is the Easy Money, 9pm most likely will be the monthly freeroll start so if this is the date for the forum freeroll then at least those playing the Clubhollywood freeroll..... players will be into that game an hour before the Hollywood Poker Stars tourney starts at 10pm.

Personally my suggestion is to move the Hollywood Poker Stars 250 freeroll monthly to the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 9 pm. Then it will not interfer with any other tourney as the sites 250 freeroll doesn't start till
11 pm Wednesdays. ;)

I can't decide what to have for dinner, to much responsibility for me.

Usually the cHP Freerolls begin the 2nd Monday of each month which would be August 14th, so the Forum Freeroll shouldn't conflict with them. But I will double check the upcoming tournament schedule just to be sure. :waytogo:

Thanks to everyone who has voted. We'll keep the poll open as long as possible to ensure we get the greatest response. If you haven't voted already, get on it!

Well, I suppose a vote for 8pm eastern time works. But really. anytime after 5 pm eastern is probably workable, although the later in the evening the higher probability we will see a larger number of stars i suppose.

well there ya have it!

I doubt we'll have any stars in it. The only people who qualify are the people who earn the stars for posting here in the forum.

I voted 10pm EDT, keep in mind that is only 7pm here on the west coast. Most people are just getting off work around that time.

I have to agree with Honey for the same reasons. I think the third week of August on Wednesday at 8 or 9 pm EST would be better for most. I myself have to work on the 2nd and the 16th, so what I think will be best for the majority, doesn't work for me.

But, hey there are two more Wednedays at the end of August with no extra activity. ;)

i realize the vote is probably a little late but i voted other and would like to see it on like the 16th or at least no earlier than 14th. just to keep it separate from the CHP freerolls. not that I'm playing in the gold or above but it wouldn't force the ones who do to play 2.

Was this a one month only promotion? If it's not, which I assume since you went to the effort of modifying the forum, why haven't the star counts reset for the next qualifying period?

terryruss
08-03-2006, 10:23 AM
wow 3vbo, dont give them the ideal to reset the stars you earn to. its bad enough that we have to restart our points and where we are at in our accounts as i was silver last month and now im back to getting my bronze statis back after the new month started. dont like to have to keep doing it even every month. thank you, sorry if i took to much of your time. terryruss:)

Hey 3vb0,

The HP Stars program is not a one month promotion and it will be ongoing until further notice. Also, we will not be resetting everyone's star counts - they will be cumulative like your post counts. The qualifying period for the September freeroll began August 1st.

Cheers,

Julie
