James Woods and family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to each one of you for all of the beautiful messages to them and about Michael. The family huddled around the computer last night reading every single one and it gave them great strength through these difficult times. Over the next few weeks James and family will discuss how they want to proceed with the MWCI.

That is so sweet to hear, but James need not thank anyone. He deserves our thanks for the site we all love and many blessings for getting through this difficult time. He and his family need time to be in mourning and we all that have lost loved ones know the hardship, and troubles that they are having. If only there was more that we could do. Once again, may God Bless the entire family and close friends and please take the time you need. I know this is horribly difficult for James, but I cannot even begin to imagine what it is like on his children and fiancee. Being 23, I am close to their ages and I don't know what it would be like to lose my father, who is 50. You all were so blessed to have him. But at least he'll always be with you and be watching you.
Love,
Sarah

James,
Your brother was always a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. I had the pleasure of playing against him several times, both in SnG's and MTT's. Always friendly, never aloof. He will be missed.

Sincerest condolences to you and the entire Woods family.

It's I who should send thanks to you Jimmy. Although this morning was the hardest and saddest day I ever put in next to resting my father (as I know it was for y'all also). I will miss Michael and never forget what an enormous gift he was in my life this past year and half. People come together in the oddest of places. Touch each others lives for the strangest of reasons. Naturally becoming a part of them. Then as quickly part... searching for answers, only to be questioned forever. It's not for us to ask. It's for us to trust.

Michael was certainly one of the finest, most loving, respectable men I ever met. He literally restored my faith in the being of the words "A MAN" I learned once again to trust. So now that he has gone.... I must accept what I have learned from the man.

One of the important things we did give each other was the sharing of our families between us. He loved you so Jimmy. You were his Big Brother, and at times, Father image, teacher, idol, and his best friend. In you, he really did see that super star. No one made him laugh like you!

We talked of our mothers. Michael helped me deal with mine being so ill. He would comfort me at times when I thought I just can't handle her well anymore. He always found my strength for me with a story of Ms. Martha. Ms Martha... you are an amazing woman. A pilar in your family and I know this from Michael's eyes. He spoke his words of you like a leader of World Missions. Able to accomplish anything! (He always credited his beautiful eyes to you, too :) )

With all the love Michael had to share and showed everyday. He extended that to my kids also. My daughter Lace, terrified of her heart troubles ran away from the hospital. Police, Doctors, no one could convince her to return never mind have the surgery. Michael did! He was able to get her to agree to the heart proceedures. Michael had that way with Lace. Lace is the same age as Sarah. So I was always asking Michael for advise. Mostly asking on, what is Sarah shopping for this week (that is in style) would Lace like that I wonder? (or me)
Kyle is the same age as Jackie and plays guitar so Michael always had mp3s coming from Kyle. I think Kyle would try asking the question now and then. Does Jackie like guitar songs? Always with the answer from Michael. "Are you going to play that guitar or wear that guitar" Lol Michael loved his girls very very much and was very much the typical protective father :waytogo:

Peyton! Wow, Peyton.. You're Dad loved to coach the games. He would have all of us here at HP knowing and cheering for ur baseball game. As well as when I knew the MWCI was, I knew when Peytons baseball or hockey games were and what the scores were and how you did :waytogo: . He was always so proud of you. He would get excited to get ready for the next season and the next set of games no matter what sport it was. Spending time with his son was very precious to him and that was real obvious.

You three kids were the most important beings to him without a doubt!! I truly believe that your Dad will never be away from you. He will never stop watching over you. He had enough love to share with many of us but that is because love grows love. The love he had from and for his family was the greatest of all. Therefore that love tripled in size, so he could spread it all around.

I will forever be thankful that he shared that with me and my kids and that he shared you with me.

Always Honey (Jilly)

Jimmy thank you for letting us all know our thoughts and prayers have reached you and ur mom. I hope they will always comfort you both.

Michael was very special to me as you know Jimmy. I hope we get to discuss that further down the road. Cousin Jill knows how to reach me at Heartwoods. When you can :hugs:

My daughter Lace unfortunately has taken a turn with her heart again. Even though Michael isn't here to comfort us like he has been these past two years, yesterday it was clear to me he is very much present in spirit. She handed me the note Michael sent her when she was in intensive care last time... (I can't believe she kept it this long) She asked me to hold onto it until after she has the surgery that is needed. She said Michael would want her to have it done. :waytogo:

Ms. Martha..... Ur Michael, is still touching the lives of people!! Definately ours :D
I just wanted you to know that.

Firtst off i am very sorry about your loss James, Growing up i dealt with grandparents and aunts and uncles dying. As a child i was not too affected by these losses, though i did love them very much i knew that when people get older they die and go to heaven!! Then life threw me a curveball while i was in my early 20's, a girl i had met and was very much in love with died at far to early of an age. For the first time in my life i was upset with GOD and wondered why he would take someone i loved so much when it did not seem to be their time to go. It took me years to come to grip with her passing and I still keep a picture of her by my bed to this day. But i came to realize my love for her will never die and i will see her again someday. I know your brother was a good man, and that he would want nothing more than to still see you smile!! It took me far to long to figure that out after Cassie died. It has been 11 years since she passed and this is the first i have really talked about it, please don't do that to yourself as i have done. I know now i was blessed to have ever met her as many were to have met your brother, but this is all part of GODS plan. So remember and rejoice in the times you had together, none of us will even know how long those times will last!!

A simple walk to the corner store for creamer brings chills beyond a tear today.

Walking into the A & P I saw a penny on the ground. As I reached to pick it up, which I've always done. I smiled at the fellow fixing up the outside halloween display of apples, cornstalks and such and as I did I said that ole familiar penny pinching childhood phase.. See a penny, pick it up all day long I'll have good luck.

Just as I was rising with penny in hand, I quickly turned my head the other way beccause someone had their hand on mine hand that held the penny. I was looking into the eyes of an elder woman. I have never seen ythis lady before who then said NO that's not it at all. (This isnt word for word as I cant remember it all.)

She said....That penny was dropped from Heaven that landed there on the ground. When an Angel misses you, they toss one down, so that it would be found. He wants to make a smile out of that frown.
She winked walked away and got into a car and gone.

I have heard many little rhymes and sayings my mother was always having I sing or say them. Never have I heard this, seen something like this or read something like this. I've lived in this small area a long time and been to this store almost everyday for 4 yrs or more. I have never seen that woman. I cried all the way home. Im sure the clerk at that store is still sittin on a pumpkin picking leaves off a stalk and in aww.

Im not sure if this penny is from Heaven... or who that woman was. But I sure am holding on to this penny with a smile on my face.

Here I thought this day wasnt starting off very good. I think it's a GREAT DAY ALREADY!

My mom has always said something similar.

A penny is a message from someone departed. The year on the penny will be significant.

Found a penny today
Just laying on the ground
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from heaven
That's what my Grandpa told me.
He said angels toss them down
Oh, How I loved that story.
He said when an angel misses you
They toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown.
So don't pass by that penny
When you are feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven
That an angel tossed to you.

Could be anything. If you do not recognize the significance of the year, it may have been meant for someone else.

Next time I talk to my mother, I'll see if she remembers anything more about the meaning behind found pennies - Where she heard it, etc. Also supposedly something about finding the penny face down or face up, but I don't remember that part.

I find it odd that its an american penny to start with.. I live in Ontario DB. The year however doesnt jump out at me tho.

Think I will do some googling tonight for fun. ;)

Thanks for posting that verse. She certainly didnt say all that. But must have given me the quick version of it. I was definately in deep thought when I saw the penny and was picking it up. She obviously saw me in that frame of mind at the time.

:what: Funny how a complete stranger can alter your day tho.

Amazing how someone like Michael can make peoples lives better just by being around as so many have said here.

I will always believe there is an Angel among us.

So it sounds like you stole someone elses penny from heaven, now that person will never know there were missed. How sad, maybe tomorrow you will put it back?

Nope I'm sure this penny was for me. I know my luck. If it wasn't for me.....

The elder would have knocked me over! Told me to get a job! The store clerk accidently would have dropped the largest pumpkin he had on display on my hand as I was trying to regain my balance.... from the shove the elder gave me on her way to grabbing the penny.

So... nope it's definately a penny from Heaven for me. :silly:

But I can't wait for tomorrow. Still I want to enjoy the rest of today. :waytogo:  This is only gonna get better for Me!! I can tell ;)
