Qualifing period

What is the current qualifing period for this Stars promotion?

I see some people with 70 or more stars. Is this all for one qualifing period or a running total?

If a running total, how to determine current qualifing status?

however some may not be accurate seeing mine keeps jumpin from 2 stars to 8 stars back to 2 stars

hi dacrash you will need to post at least ten posts in the right places to gain your ten stars for each month, however the more stars you have the better off you are, also its true if you post enough stuff to be the star leader in this month you also have a chance to be a bounty in it too, which is always fun to have people trying to take you out for the bounty. also they will call alot more to try and do it, which means you can gain alot of chips you usually wouldnt get, thank you terryruss:happy:

Thanks for the help all. I understand about the total stars vs qualifying period stars. Mine says 68 total and 8 quailifying period. I know I only have 8, so I'm not sure.

I had 8 stars starting the day, made a few posts and now I lost 2 stars. Is this normal practice?

You can't just spam the eligible forums and get stars, the posts must be deemed 'worthy' by the HP staff or you lose the star. I didn't see your posts but this is probably what happened.

Well dang hun, I keep posting but all I see is stars: 30 and it never changes. I went to my account to see and someone must have snuck into my room and bleached my hair cause I can't find my actual star count anywhere!! :silly:

To my knowledge, the time period for earning stars is the calendar month, so you should have until the 30th of September to get your 10th star and qualify.

I noticed that the number of stars, both total and qualifying period are different depending on whether you click on the user name on the actual post or from the lounge page where the name is below the most recent post. I tried it for my own user name and for charm319 and there was a discrepancy for both of us. For me, there are fewer qualifying stars from the "Most Recent Post" column and for charm , she had fewer when clicking from the actual post and choosing profile from the drop down menu. Which is right and why wouldn't they be the same?
