check down

I am looking for opinions regarding checking a hand down. I was told that when a player is all in and two other players call, they should just check the hand down so that there is a greater chance that the all-in will be eliminated.

I am not sure when to do this, At the bubble, and final table or 2 tables left? I will check down but then get a surprise when the other player bets. Sometimes I have hit at the flop and just checked only to have the other player bet at the turn.

Is there guidelines regarding check down? I would like to hear opinions on when it is appropriate to check down and when it is appropriate to bet when you intend to check the hand down. Thank you.

ok wanita youve twisted my arm. True, there are some sites that hav some sort of weird, 'cant check down' rule (possibly even this one). Its not enforced anywhere online, never has been, and never should be. Dont worry about it. As far as 'etiquette' goes, just play the hand the best way you know how, coz thats what everyone else does. gl

I have no idea what spam you are referring to. Even so I have to ask why are people so incredibly rude in this forum. As I said to another guy I would find it difficult to believe that you make no mistakes when doing things new to you.

As for check down, one thing I do know is that players cannot verbalize during the game or participate in collusion but it is different if they check the hand down without communicating their intention to do so.

yes, ive noticed. Some very rude ppl around, thus is the melting pot of humanity. Btw, if u already knew the answer, then why ask the question?

Bug, are you referring to the question posted about check down? If you are you will see that I asked for opinions regarding this as they vary between players. I voiced, I know, about not communicating intentions but still do not know what others think.
As for asking why people are rude in the forum, it is a rhetorical question posted as you responded rudely as well.
It is unfortunate that people feel they have to put others down even when unprovoked.
