WPT Celebrity Shootout I AND II!!!

The response to Hollywood Poker's Celebrity Shootout poker tournaments has been overwhelming! This time around, we asked ourselves how we could make a tournament with a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool, $100 celebrity bounties and a $7,500 WPT prize package add-on even more impressive? The answer, of course, was to run it TWICE!

For each WPT Celebrity Shootout tournament, we're offering a $7,500 WPT prize package that sends the first place winner of each event to compete in the Legends of Poker Tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles from August 27th to 31st. The tournaments each guarantee a minimum prize pool of $10,000! So, as more and more players join, the prize pool promises to grow even bigger! Add it up; we're giving away a massive $40,000 in cash and prizes!

And, in keeping with Celebrity Shootout tradition, we're paying $100 bounties on all participating celebrities.

YES! This is exactly the kind of promotion I love. I cant think of anything more exciting for a poker player than to compete at one of the big land based tournaments. And since the amount of money I have to gamble with means I will have to win a lot more than I usually do to actually buy in, winning an entry is the only way I'm gonna get there (that, or divorcing my lovely wife ).

Hey all my fellow HP players, isn't it about time you let these folks know what you think about the celebrity shootouts/land based tournament prizes too?

I find it the most fun type promotion of all, and want to encourage more of them - what do the rest of you think?

By the way, with respect to my last post, I've consulted with a divorce lawyer and been informed that that would cost me far more than any $10,000.00 entry fee...I dont want to divorce her anyway, but that settles it for good. I MUST WIN MY WAY IN.

And to Julie - you'll definitely see me at the first tournament and the only way I wont play the second is if I win the first (Im not THAT greedy)

I have yet to see any of the competing sites out there offer these kinds of terrific overlays. These 20+2 buy-ins actually have a value of about $30-40 depending on the number of entrants.

I like the guarantee, love the bounties and you just can't beat that sort of add-on.

And rumor has it I got my first bounty EVER in this tounament and YUP it's true and rumor also has it.... that bounty was Michael Woods. That rumour is also True! May the mill now slow down. Till Thursday anyway.

Congrats to all in the tourny and congrats to honey comb, i was wondering if anyone knows the exact breakdown for the celebrity shootout including the prize package?. ie: first place to whatever it pays to, the package including the buy in at the wpt, the wpt event and also the payout structure for the wpt event. Any help would be very much appreciated, if you want you can just p m your response.

The WPT event is the Legends of Poker Tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles from August 27th to 31st. I checked the WPT site for you and it says that the number of entrants and total prize pool are to be determined.
