A word of thanks to all those who participated in the inaugural Michael Woods Invitational Tournament. It turned out better than we hoped! We put it on a week early, so pardon us if it seemed rushed. Next week we'll have ironed out the kinks and hopefully many more celebs, so of course, more bounties! Congrats to Athos834 as our first winner! Thank you to our players, thank you to our celebrities, you are the ones who make Hollywoodpoker the best site around. Special congrats to my brother James Woods for being the last celebrity to go out, though it was close with Vince! Jimmy was taping the Jimmy Kimmel show and trying to play, way to go Jimbo! Love ya! Let's do it again next week! And hope I finish better than 50th, arrrggg.

i liked the aspect of a "hollywood" only tourney...

i had much fun last night...finishing 2nd was nice too

Cheers to you Mike! I expected nothing less than a great time and you delivered. I won't miss the next one or any to follow if I can help it. I just hope to do a little better next time. Oh yeah I think i did beat you so I was a winner!

Once again, thank you to all those who played in last nights Michael Woods Invitational. Sorry we were low on celebs, James was on his way to the Sundance Film Festival and Vince had a prior commitment. Unfortunately many of the celebs thought it was 10:00 California time, so we'll get that straightened out for next week. Willie Garson missed it by about a minute, Scott Baio by 2, and Mena Suvari by 2 minutes also. But thanks to all who played and the celebs for trying. Congratulations to mikeford888 as our winner, with honorable mention to: ten8video, DISCO75, pinavera, and P.mac. I finished 26th which is better than 50th, still not in the money though. Rats. Oh well.... there's always next week. And thanks to Pakrat for pointing out I got beat in a dress...Hey! They put me in that position on the table! Sheesh.

Hey Mike good showing this week! Kicked my butt this time. It's even now.

I have a suggestion to maybe help out with the people being late. (excluding Willie's computer problem of course) Have the celebs sign on early to sign up and talk to the HP people while waiting. They could pick seperate chat lobbies, (table games, tournaments and the MWI) so it would be easier for people to talk to whomever thay wanted. Ya' Think that could work? Just a thought. Keep up the great work Mike!
